Welcome to the Star Class! My name is Kayla Desko and I'm so happy that I get to be your child's teacher this year. This will be my 8th year teaching at Kindergarten Academy. I received my Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education and Special Education from Messiah College in 2015. In 2018 I graduated from Wilkes University with my Master's in Early Childhood Literacy. I can't wait for your child to join the Star Class this year. Our classroom is a community of collaboration, hands on learning, laughter, and excitement to explore. This year is going to be a year full of new friends, new adventures, and new discoveries. 

At Kindergarten Academy your child will learn what it means to be a Bucket Filler. We are very focused on helping our students learn how to have a growth mindset. Students will learn about the power of YET, sticking with challenges, and learning from mistakes. All of these things help our brains to grow!
