Welcome to Mechanicsburg Middle School School Counseling Department
Katie E. George, M.Ed.
7th grade School Counselor-Class of 2031

I am currently entering my 15th year as a School Counselor and I am incredibly excited to start my 10th year with the Mechanicsburg Middle School Counseling Department as the 7th grade counselor this year! I am also the Secondary Counseling Department Coordinator for the district.  I graduated from Mechanicsburg High School in 2004.  I am a proud Wildcat and I am thankful to be working here.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Millersville University in 2008 and I earned my Master’s of Education in School Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2011.

Middle school is an exciting time full of new experiences, challenges, and changes—and you don’t have to go through it alone. Whether you need someone to talk to, help with classes, or support with friendships or feelings, I’m here to support your child and promote emotional, personal, and academic success! I am looking forward to working with you and your child this coming year!
